Over the weekend, the Youth spent time at the mountains. We had a wonderful time, our theme this year was: Finding God in unexpected places.
Our scripture base was Zephaniah 3:17, which reminds us that God is with us wherever we go, and God delights in us no matter who we are. We, The Youth, are grateful for opportunities like this to explore our faith, create deeper, friendships, and learn new things. We thank you for your support and the love before and to all of us.
Over this weekend, we went hiking, snowboarding, skiing, and sledding as our activities. We found God in nature. we saw God in each other, and we are thankful for the adults and staff who come along side all of us on trips like this and during youth group.
On Sunday, we used our proud United Methodist system of connectionism and joined in worship at the church Boonesboro United Methodist Church. Though we entered worship late, it could not have been better time because the message we received centered around our main theme. The church we visited was warm and welcoming to us. During the time of joys and concerns a member of the congregation shared that they had been praying for their church to be blessed with seeing young faces In their church. This testimony reminded us that God hears our prayers, and answers them in unexpected ways.
We hope to take the lessons we received this weekend, back home with us and share the love of God with all those around us. Thank you again for your love and support of us the youth, who are the church now and not the church of the future we hope to see you working with us and spending time with us at some point.
