Frequently asked questions

Our primary entrance to the church campus is through the main reception doors, facing 6th Street (behind Wilkerson's Funeral Home). These doors are used on Sundays or if you visit during the week. On Sunday mornings, if you are attending our traditional services in the Sanctuary, you can use the main sanctuary doors (facing Forest Hill Circle), or enter through the main reception doors and walk to the sanctuary through the campus. If attending ConneXion Services, you can enter through the main reception doors or through the main CLMC doors (to the left of the main doors).

We welcome folks who are interested in joining St. James United Methodist Church.

We frequently hold classes for prospective members. They are informal, conversational gatherings during which we discuss our faith journeys, what draws us to St. James, and particulars about the United Methodist Church, and details about the programs and ministries at St. James UMC. We discuss the core values and promises of membership at St. James.
