Prayer Shawl

Weekly meetings to knit & crochet together!

The St. James Prayer Shawl group meets weekly to knit and crochet together as we create beautiful shawls, preemie baby blankets, and other gifts of love. Our main work is on prayer shawls which are given to those experiencing difficult life situations. We have sent shawls all around the nation and even to other countries. As we work together, we also pray together—praying for those who will receive these gifts of love. The shawls and other items are then blessed by our clergy, usually during worship services. In this way, we know that God’s love and care will cover the recipients as they wrap themselves in their shawls.

For now we are meeting online via Zoom every Monday morning. Our normal meeting place is Room 21 in the church.
