St. James Food Pantry

Every Thursday, the St. James Food Pantry helps feed between 10-20 families.  We provide a bag of groceries to those in need that includes: breakfast food, meat, vegetables, soup, fruit, beans or peanut butter, macaroni and cheese or boxed side dishes. We also add snack foods that are in the pantry such as hot chocolate, granola bars, crackers, cookies. Smaller items work best as we can fit more into each bag.  These bags are filled with food items that have been donated by you – your donations are important! Donations to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund are also a great help.

Thank you for your support!
Current Needs:
This is the time of year many begin to think about dining and kitchen tables filled with platters of turkey and ham and bowls of potatoes, beans, and squash. The St. James United Methodist Church Food Pantry needs to be filled with food for the needy.
Please help with restocking the pantry with the following items:
meat products, such as canned tuna and canned chicken, and breakfast items, such as cereal, grits, oatmeal, and canned fruit.
Deposit your donations in the bins outside of Marianne’s office.
Thank you!

Come be a part of this vital ministry!
Stock shelves, pack grocery bags, and help feed the hungry.

The food pantry can always use the following items:

cereal, canned meat, canned vegetables, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned spaghetti sauce, spaghetti noodles, ravioli, beans, etc.
Plastic jars and cans are preferred; please refrain from purchasing items in glass jars.
We fill small plastic grocery bags each week for recipients. Please keep this in mind when donating items (very large cans take up a lot of room in the bag).

Donations can be placed in the baskets outside the church office.
