“Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplications for the saints, and also for me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”

    Ephesians 6:18 – 20.
The St. James Prayer Ministry meets every 3rd Thursday evening of each month at 7:00 pm in the Parlor.
All are welcome to join with us in prayer and spiritual inspiration.

Prayer Ministry 2015

The Prayer Corner

Each week we see announcements of activities happening at St. James, in our neighborhood, and sometimes beyond. Many of those activities are coordinated through our own St. James Ministries. It is important that we are all aware of what is going on, but also, perhaps more important, to be in prayer over them. The St. James Prayer Ministry would like to lift these events up each Sunday with a specific scripture verse to use in prayer. All of these activities engage each of us in some way in building the Kingdom of God. Our prayers add strength to the direction these ministries move in. For the sake of space, we will not write out the scripture, but will list only the verse.
  • For Spring Fling 2019 – for all the servant hands involved and for those who will receive – please pray Acts 2:44 – 45.
  • For our Lenten Giving for the JOY Soup Kitchen – for the many servant hands who supply, prepare, serve, and for those who receive – please pray Acts 2:46 – 47.
  • For our St. James Prayer Ministry “Easter Blessings” – for the many volunteers who help to stuff envelopes and hand out cards, for the opportunity for each of us to pray for a member and their family – please pray 1 Thessalonians 5:25.
  • To our hurting world – please pray 2 Samuel 22:29 – 31.
