Hanging of the Green Celebration,
Sunday, November 24
Kick off the Christmas Season with the Hanging of the Green Celebration!  On Sunday, November 24th, we invite the entire St. James community to stay after the Super Service and Fellowship Potluck to join in the fun and fellowship as we sing carols, pray over the decorations, and decorate the trees and worship spaces.  It all begins at 12:30 pm.
XYZ Christmas Party, Friday, December 6
The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be offered each week in Advent at the 8:45 AM service in the Sanctuary. Join us as we prepare our hearts and lives for the coming of the Christ child during the season of Advent (December 2, 9, 16, and 23).

Angel Tree Gifts Due, Tuesday, December 10, by 5:00 p.m.
Help Christmas come alive for children in our Foster Care system by providing selected gifts.  “Angels” can be found on the Fellowship Hall tree with gift requests.  Click here for more information.

Special event to support the Relay for Life team.
Moravian Lovefeast,
Sunday, December 15th at 6:00 pm
This traditional gathering which has its roots in the Moravian Church celebrates by sharing a simple meal with friends and brings to life the true meaning of unity, liberty and love for all who participate. Year after year we look forward to the moment when the lights are dimmed and the trays of candles are unveiled. Plan now to celebrate the birth of Christ through this powerful and simple service.

Advent Services, Sundays, December 1, 8, 15, and 22.
This year during the season of Advent, our worship will explore the intricate meaning and theology in some of our Christmas Hymns.  Sunday services will be at:
8:45 AM and 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary for a more traditional expression of worship, and 9:00 AM and 11:11 AM in the Christian Life Ministries Center for a more modern expression of worship.
Christmas Eve Services, Monday, December 24th
Communion will be a part of all of the Christmas Eve services.  The Offering on Christmas Eve will go directly to assisting persons who are in need in our community.
Early Christmas Eve Service,
11:00 am, in the Chapel
A traditional, intimate Christmas Eve celebration in the Chapel.  Perfect opportunity for those families with a full day to begin the Christmas celebration together. 

Children’s Christmas Eve Service,

2:00 pm, in the Christian Life Ministries Center
A Christmas Eve service designed for the children and performed by the children.  All children can participate by dressing as a character of the Christmas story.
ConneXion Christmas Eve Service,
5:00 pm, in the Christian Life Ministries Center
A casual, modern Christmas Eve celebration with music led by the ConneXion band and praise team.  You can expect to sing Christmas Carols and hear a message.
Traditional Christmas Eve Service,
7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary
A traditional Christmas Eve celebration with music led by the Chancel Choir and organist, Frances Cain. 
Candlelight Christmas Eve Service,
11:00 pm, in the Sanctuary
A traditional Christmas Eve celebration with music led by a Choir and organist, Frances Cain.  The service concludes with a candlelight journey outside as we sing carols under the starlit sky.
