Be the Bridge Event

Our local Greenville Be The Bridge chapter is excited to announce that on Sunday, November 3rd from 4-6pm (location TBD), we will host Latasha Morrison for her book tour! The event will include local entertainment, a panel discussion from local Be The Bridge members, and a conversation with Latasha. In addition, her book will be available for purchase, and she will be doing a book signing after the program. We would absolutely love for you to join us for this event. Please save the date!
Latasha Morrison started Be The Bridge in 2016 to encourage racial reconciliation among all ethnicities, promote racial unity in America, and equip others to do the same. Since its inception, God has blessed Latasha and BTB in some incredible ways. Currently there are almost 200 active BTB groups that consistently meet to do the important work of racial reconciliation (including our local groups). Latasha has received national and international recognition for her work: In 2017 she was named one of Ebony magazine’s 100 most influential women. In 2018 she was selected as one of five Facebook community leader residents which gave her access to leadership training and up to 1 million dollars in grant money to use towards advancing the mission of BTB.
Latasha’s latest effort is her first book, “Be The Bridge:Pursuing God’s Heart for Racial Reconciliation.” Her book is a powerful tool in understanding and following God’s heart for unity. The book will be released on October 15th and will be followed by a national book tour. Latasha grew up in Fayetteville and went to ECU. Because of her roots in ENC, she is eager to share her book and her message here in Greenville.
Racial unity is at the heart of the gospel: through Jesus we are not only reconciled to God, but also to each other. This is a message that we should both affirm and be active in its pursuit. In the midst of heightened racial tensions, this is the time for the church to be vocal and intentional in affirming the equality and unity of all people that comes in and through Christ.
