CHANGES IN SUMMER WORSHIP
The children’s ministry team has decided to give our children’s worship leaders a big break. We will not have our regular children’s worship during the months of June, July and August. Here are the options available for your child/ren:

Infants and crawlers: Nursery Care with paid staff workers during all services.
Two Year olds: Paid Staff Care during all services and volunteer lead classes during Living Water. Continue to check-in prior to the service you attend or before Living water.
3&4 Year olds: Extended care is available during all services. You have the option of taking your child to worship with you, or checking them into extended care. During Extended Care, church volunteers will facilitate a variety of Bible Activity Centers. At 9:45 our Lil’K program will run until 10:45. Children remaining in care during the 11 and 11:11 services will participate in Bible Activity Centers with paid Staff Workers.
Pre-K-5th graders are encouraged to participate in worship with their families. There will be worship packets available in the lobby or narthex for all services. Please check-in before sending kids to

Children's Ministries

Children's Ministry welcomes and invites children from birth through the fifth grade into a loving fellowship to begin and be inspired on their faith journeys, to learn the fundamentals of the faith, and to become a part of a Christian family for encouragement and support.

St. James United Methodist Church is committed to providing a nurturing worship experience for children of all ages, races, and backgrounds. Children's Ministry gives priority to a child's personal spiritual growth and expression, while maintaining the necessary procedures to sustain a caring and secure learning environment - a Safe Sanctuary. St. James Children's Ministry Committee is in the process of completing and implementing a Safe Sanctuary policy as requested by the United Methodist Church.

What do we do with our children during worship?
