One way you can support the work of St. James United
Methodist Church is through donations to the St. James
United Methodist Church Permanent Endowment Fund. The
Endowment Fund is property of St. James UMC not a trust
account. It is governed by the Endowment Committee of St.
James.
The Endowment Fund is divided into 5 categories of giving: Missions,
Education, Scholarship, Property, and Music. Disbursements
from this fund must be used for projects and causes beyond
what the church budget can support. Disbursements from
this fund shall not be used for routine maintenance but can
be used for unexpected damage or repairs or acquisition of
new real property. The Fund is set up so the principal of the
gift can never be spent. Therefore it is never depleted.
Funds are invested for long term substantial growth through
the United Methodist Foundation. All gifts made to the
Fund will be forever memorialized in the book of remembrance
located in the cabinet in the Fellowship Hall.
