What do we do with our children during worship????

Here is a question I hear all the time. Due to safe sanctuary and our desire to take care of the children
that participate in various ministries at St. James, we ask our parents to follow the guidelines listed below.
They are designed to make sure your child is safe and has the opportunity to learn and grow in his or
her faith.” Parents please follow these guidelines if your children (infants up to grade 5) plan to be a part of
any activity, program or childcare at St. James.

  1. Complete the NEW short registration form. These will be handed out or available to pick up before worship services. Once your child is registered he or she will get a permanent ID number. Next time you come, you will use this number to register your child for that day.
  2. Registration/Information tables will be located in the CLMC lobby and outside the infant & toddler nurseries. Report to these tables each time you arrive for worship.
  3. At the registration table your child will receive a sticker with his or her number. This sticker will verify that he or she has been registered for the day and that we have appropriate information on file for them.
  4. Children 3 and under should be checked-in and placed in the nursery prior to worship.
  5. All other children, (ages 4-10), are to be registered and receive a sticker if they are to participate in children’s worship or Sunday school.
  6. All children who have been registered, (have their sticker!!) can be escorted by staff and volunteers to children’s worship, (for ages 4-3rd grade) after the children’s sermon during all worship services.
